Yesterday afternoon, Vic and Sarah (my lovely flatmates) and I took a wee trip out to Tynemouth for a delightful Sunday stroll.
Vic is new to the north-north east (she was previously in Sheffield) and so it was an opportunity to introduce her to some of our lovely scenery.
We took a walk along the sea wall, and were glad that we weren’t in any of the boats out on the water (it was rough). We walked past the pretty King Edward Bay and the abandoned outdoor swimming pool. And we made our way down to the beach and enjoyed delicious hot chocolate at Crusoe’s.
The wind was brisk but the sun was out, and judging by the apocalyptic-style rain we’ve experienced today, that may be the last chance of sunshine this year.
In summary: classic Sunday walk.
