God, Rest

I’ve just come home from a lovely weekend up in St Andrews. A good visit. Met up with old friends, and got to make some new ones, visited the old kirk in their beautiful new building, heard a couple of awesome sermons, shared my testimony with some lovely ladies at a CU girls breakfast, watched High School Musical 3 (amazing!), had an impromptu chat about the gospel with a random man in Starbucks, laughed a lot,  cried a little, prayed with CU people as they started mission week, and said goodbye to the beautiful burgh until 2010.

Some sad conversations gave a reminder of how broken this world really is and a feeling of helplessness and anger and sorrow that such pain exists, but in the midst of it all there’s that ever constant voice of God, showing glimpses of his big plan, and assuring me that he’s in control.

In summary: some sadness, some fun and once again humbled to see another chunk of God’s grace and glory.
